Have you ever dealt with someone you just knew was keeping some of the important answers from you? Someone you may not have trusted completely?

There are several keys to any successful relationship. Communication, empathy, and common goals come to mind. There is no factor more important than trust, though.

Trust and transparency are the foundation for all great relationships. The rest are important building blocks, but it all starts with trust.

We’re a roofing company, but the lessons here can be translated to any relationship in your life. With that said, you may be wondering “what kind of relationships can a roofing company have?”

Great question!

The obvious relationships we have is with our customers and employees.

We serve our customers through a variety of ways. No matter the circumstance, we always want to give them reason to trust us. We’re proud of the reviews we’ve received on Google and social media. Most talk about our professional workmanship and communication. What we’re most proud of, though, is the sense or trust that our customers have with us. How we fixed what may have gone wrong, and stood behind everything we did. How we communicated everything timely, and with transparency. We’re not a company to hide or procrastinate anything. They also talk about how we simply did what we said we would do. No false promises.

The relationship we have with the employees is also based upon trust. We hire the right employees here, and perform extensive background checks. Trustability begins at the beginning of our hiring process. We further trust our employees by empowering them to find the answers they need to get the jobs at hand done right.

There are some other relationships you may not be aware of, though. We have trusting relationships with subcontractors, product vendors, dumpster and other local businesses, chambers of commerce, local non-profits, and town halls all across New England that approve our permitting.

Are these relationships any different than the ones listed above? The roles are certainly varied, but the principal remains the same. Trust and transparency are still the foundations for these relationships.

As long as we can admit our shortcomings, make good on our promises, and help our communities move forward, we’re building more than a roof, we’re building a legacy based on trust
