While the majority of roofing companies offer you a Limited Lifetime Warranty from the roofing manufacturer for the products and workmanship warranty from their company, that doesn’t mean they’re warranties worth having. During the first 10 years of the Limited Lifetime warranty, the cost of only the shingles is covered. After that, the cost is prorated based on the age of your roof. So after 10 years, you will start to pay out of pocket for repairs on defective shingles. As for the workmanship warranty, these can vary based on the contractor and are not reliable unless they are in writing. Even then, it’s hard to know what the industry standard should be for workmanship warranties.

Owens Corning’s system warranty is a 50 year, non-prorated, warranty that covers defects. Unlike a typical Limited Lifetime warranty shingle, our shingle warranty won’t prorate after 10 years. Owens Corning will completely cover defects during year 50 just like they would at year 5. Included in this warranty, Owens Corning covers the shingles and all of the accessories like underlayment (ice and water shield, synthetic felt), cap, ridge, and starter strip shingles.

Owens Corning 25-Year Workmanship Warranty

On top of Owens Corning’s system warranty, they also provide a 25-year workmanship warranty backing our work and service. Our team is trained to install to Owens Corning’s specifications, which means our workmanship is also covered by Owens Corning.
